This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Been keeping myself busy working on some art that has been needing attention. Few uploads to my scraps and one to the gallery. Keep an eye out for more soon.
Hehe, thanks! I was just amazed at people's arguments on that post... it was stunning how some people refuse to think.
As for ornithology, I may be a bit biased, but it is a lot of fun. Being involved from the science aspect (I am finishing up my Masters and plan to start my PhD next year) you can get involved in a huge range of work from behavioral stuff (what I do) to neurology and hormones and genetics. Some people get into it because they love birds and then branch out from there into what exactly they want to do with birds... other people end up under the "ornithology" heading because birds make a good model system for what they want to study (such as people who are interested in the neurological basis of behavior and study bird song learning). Professionally, the majority of the people I've met have been fantastic, particularly at professional conferences, but also people who are professional birders or educators. Another thing that is great is that a huge number of laypeople are involved, people who love bird watching as a hobby, so it is surprisingly easy to get people involved in some projects because people like to go out and watch birds. The downside to all this is that, being that birds are so ubiquitous, a lot of people study them and it ends up that there is a lot of competition in the scientific field, especially now that federal funding has dropped.
I could go on about it, but I'll stop there. If you have any questions, feel free to pop me a note and I will certainly try to answer them!

Please, viste my gallery [link] or my prints [link] Thanks
I was reading the dino/bird war on the raptor femme fatales piece, and your comment was well thought out and coherent.
Also, I am an aspiring ornithologist. What can you tell me about that particular profession?

I only need three things in life:
Brad
Birds
Blue October
...Well, technically I need air and food and such, but still!
My killer B's. ^_^
